The bagpipes used by the ensemble were made in Gaëtan Polteau's workshop.

Today called "chabrettes", from the Occitan chabretà which means little goat ; they are made of a chanter, two drones and a goat skin bag from which they take their name.

They are also called mirror bagpipes, due to their omnipresence, particularly on the "boîtiers" of the chabrettes, the decoration of which, in addition to an exceptional aesthetic rendering, gives them an extremely rich symbolic aspect.

As with Renaissance recorders, research by passionate musicians has enabled the discovery of old chabrettes of all sizes and therefore in all tones since the 1970s...
